This year WJB has three members and a coach traveling to Iowa to participate in the Middle School National Duals.

These 3 gentlemen will compete, while Coach Plumlee has been asked to be an Assistant Coach for the Tennessee

team. These three boys have worked hard this season and will represent us April 11-13th. Coach Plumlee received the

honor of TN AAU Reagion 4 Coach of the Year. Congratulations gentlemen, and GOOD LUCK!

We are working with The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Tennessee Chapter to collect money to help this wonderful organization. The homeroom that collects the most money will receive a pasta party from Olive Garden! Thank you in advance for your support.

Aviation Award Given

Hannah, a 7th grade student of Heather Clemons at Walter J. Baird Middle School, is the recipient of this year’s EAA Air Academy award. Hannah’s essay on the topic of “Aviation” was chosen among other applicants for her excellence in writing about her knowledge and passion on aviation. Hannah will be attending the Air Academy in Wisconsin, June 16-20, 2013. Mr. Doug Eshelman, President of EAA, came to school to present Hannah and her parents with the award.
