TCAP IS HERE

It’s that time of year again. Standardized testing in LSSD is called our TCAP test. We begin with our testing on Monday, April 23- 27. Please be sure that your child gets a good nights rest of 8 or more hours each night as well as a good breakfast. The students have worked hard all year and if they have studied and tried their hardest then they will do well on their TCAP. Please discuss how important it is for your child to pay attention and read all directions on their tests.

September News

Report cards will be issued to all students on Wednesday, September 28th.

Our standards are getting progressively more complex. Please discuss with your child how important it is to pay attention in class and ask questions if they do not understand something.  The sixth graders are beginning to understand that they are at a new level in their educational careers and are beginning to buckle down and work hard and study. I am proud of them for meeting this new level of education so well. The sixth grade is a difficult transition year as many of you are very aware of. Please encourage your child and let them know that they can do this and be successful.

If you ever have any questions for me always feel free to call the school and/or e-mail me at any time. E-mail responses are quicker because I am only around a phone less than 1/2 hour a day but I can get to my e-mail almost at any time.

I can hardly believe we have finished the first 9 weeks and I know everyone is ready for the Fall break.

We have had a great start to our new year.

Sixth Grade Study TCAP notes taken in class today. Be ready with your # 1,2 from page 76. I will give ten mnutes at the beginning of class to finish the #’s 1 and 2.

Welcome

Welcome to my new webpage. I will update as we have new assignments and projects. I will set new posts to keep you updated with what we are doing in class. I teach 6th and 7th grade science so look at the heading to find your child’s grade to get the proper updates because 6th and 7th graders do not study the same material and therefore do not have the same assignment requirements.

This will be a great year and we have gotten off to a great start so far.
