Students will be reading The Outsiders in class. They need to be sure that they are keeping up with the chapters as well as the assignments and reflection journal that we will work on to go along with the book.

Please click on the Assignments tab to see the requirements of the upcoming book report. All reports are due: Thursday, January 26. They may be turned in early.

Welcome back! I hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday season. We are going to focus on our writing this 9 weeks. Students will also be keeping a reading log of their library novel in preparation for a book report.

We will be taking our End of 9 weeks Test on Wednesday, 12/14. Students reviewed in class. They may also use their notebooks to study.

Report Cards will go home Wed. 12/14.

There is an abbreviated 2 hour day on Friday, 12/16. Students will stay in their first hour class for the 2 hours. They may not roam between rooms handing out gifts. Dismissal will begin at 9:55.

Christmas Break- Dec. 17-January 2. There is no school January 2 for a Stockpile Day. Students return Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012.

I am thankful for each one of my students. I hope that everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. Break is November 23-27.

The Esperanza Rising Project will be due Friday, 11/4. Requirements were
given to students on Tuesday, 10/25.

Welcome back! I hope that everyone had an enjoyable break! We have begun reading Esperanza Rising in class. Please refer to the Assignments page for all other topics covered in class this week.

• Thank you for your contributions to our True Blue Fundraiser. All money is due by Tuesday, 9/27. Our True Blue Fun Day is Friday, 9/30. All students will be permitted to participate, however to have fun ALL day, students must turn in $25 or more.
• Report Cards will be sent home on Wednesday, 9/28.
• Parent Teacher Conferences- We will be dividing our conferences to 2 days. Thursday, 9/29 is for students whose last names begin with A-H. Tuesday, Oct. 18, is for students I-Z. Conferences will take place from 3:30-6:30pm.
• Friday is True Blue Day. Any student who contributed at least $10 may wear jeans on this day.
• FALL BREAK is Oct. 1-16. I hope that everyone has an enjoyable break.
