Well, here we are at the beginning of a new nine weeks. The weather is cooler and we are all, hopefully, well rested after a wonder fall break.

This nine weeks we are going to be learning about the 1920′s, 30′s and 40′s. We are going to delve into baseball and the 1919 Black Sox scandal involving Shoeless Joe Jackson. From there we are going to read a story about 1940′s American internment camps for Japanese/American citizens. We are going to bridge the gap with pictures, stories and speeches about the Great Depression.

We will continue our “Paragraph a Week” writing and complete another book report. It’s going to be a GREAT nine weeks.

Welcome to Mrs. Wright’s Room

Welcome to Walter J. Baird seventh grade language arts. This has been a GREAT year so far and I look forward to many wonderful experiences.

I know this is going to be a challenging year as we work to master our standards, but with teamwork  we will be successful.

Students will be expected to come to class prepared each day with all necessary supplies and ready to think outside the box. I encourage students to follow directions as well as create their own unique thoughts and ideas.

I welcome questions and comments at any time. Thank you for visiting this site.
