Student Conduct & Behavior Expectations
General Conduct
All students are expected to conduct themselves as ladies and gentlemen in all circumstances and towards all people, in and out of school. Walter J. Baird is as respected as the students who attend it and only as good as the school and community desire it to be.
Student Behavior Expectations
The three school-wide rules are: Be Ready, Display Respect, and Practice Responsibility.

• Use all open toilets/stalls

• Return hall pass to the classroom

• Manage your time responsibly

Gym |
• Wear appropriate clothing/shoes
• Leave all food/drink outside • Participate in each activity to the best of your ability

• Play safely and fairly
• Encourage one another during the activity

• Follow all safety rules
• Listen for directions • Participate in directed events
• Use only your assigned locker

Library |
• Return borrowed materials on time
• Use a hall pass to enter the library
|
• Enter and exit the library quietly
• Use a whisper voice • Say, "Thank you" when help is offered or a book is checked out
|
• Return items in the same condition that you received them
• Ask the Librarian for help when needed
|
Assembly |
• Use indoor voice
• Follow directions • Enter in single file
• Occupy every chair
|
• Keep hands and feet to yourself
• Sit up and look straight forward
|
• Be attentive • Keep desk down • Stay quiet during presentations |
Cafeteria |
• Know your lunch number
• Use hall pass to go to the restroom one at a time

• Use inside voice
• Practice politeness • Raise hand to get water
• Eat your own lunch

• Sit at lunch table
• Throw trash away when finished • Check above and below table for trash
• 10 people per table
• Talk only to the people at your table

• Get silent immediately
