Blue Devil Football

The Battle of the Blues began in 2011 with the opening of Winfree-Bryant Middle School.  Half of the Walter J Baird students moved over to the new school, thus creating an instant rivalry between the two schools.

Football usually begins in October with Winter workouts for current 6th & 7th graders. Most years spring practice occurs during late April & early May and ends with a spring scrimmage against another school. Practices continue throughout the summer with a 2 week off period around the 4th of July. The season continues on until the first of October.
